Anand means joy.
It’s the Punjabi word for the feeling we cook toward: the quiet joy of a table that has everything it needs.
Anand is a modern Indian dining room in Fargo. Days open with the lunch buffet — a rotating spread that changes with the kitchen’s mood, different every visit. Evenings settle into the full menu: kebabs from the tandoor, biryani layered under saffron, slow-simmered gravies, bread pulled hot from the clay oven.
Anand is family owned. We built this restaurant the way we built everything before it — together, with our own hands, one decision at a time. The care that goes into the food is the same care going into the room.
